Green Horizons is a unique house set in six acres (6000 square metres) of beautiful park and woodland on the edge of Puivert village in the Languedoc, South of France. We invite you to sip wine on the sunny terrace, wander in the meadow, lie in a hammock among the cool trees, or relax by the swimming pool. You are also welcome to use the pool house bar and summer kitchen with built-in barbeque. Combining tranquillity and beauty with easy access to village shops, the swimming lake and beach, and a wide range of activities, Green Horizons offers comfort and a warm welcome for individuals, couples or families.



DOUBLE ROOM WITH BREAKFAST:



This pretty double room has a large and cosy four-poster bed, plenty of storage space, and lovely views over the grounds and woods. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided. The large private bathroom adjacent to the bedroom has a bath and separate shower and is fully equipped with towels, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste etc.

We will offer you a wholesome complementary breakfast with a choice of cereals, fruit and yoghurt, croissants and fresh bread with honey and jam, cheese and boiled eggs, fruit juices and coffee or tea. On sunny days breakfast is served on the terrace or in the conservatory.

You are welcome to pre-order a packed lunch with breads and cheeses, ham, salad, fruit and wine. Cost 7.50 euros per person (children 5 euros).

For chilly evenings, you are welcome to share our large lounge with its cosy log fire, books and board games, and a range of DVDs.

SELF-CATERING STUDIO APARTMENT:



The Braque Suite is a bright and spacious self-catering studio apartment, with its own private terrace and barbecue overlooking the garden and pool.

An ideal place for couples wanting a romantic break, or a family with a young child, the studio has a well-equipped kitchen area, double bed, cosy sofa corner, and table and chairs, as well as ample storage space. The bathroom has a rainforest shower, and is equipped with hairdryer, towels, shampoo and shower gel etc. We can provide you with a travel cot and baby bath, or a futon for an older child. You will have your own private entrance with drive and parking space. The apartment has a range of DVDs and English television, books, board games and a stereo/CD player. Enjoy a meal or glass of wine on your own sunny terrace or under the pergola, explore the grounds, or swim in the large pool with its plentiful sun-loungers and cook in the the pool-house summer kitchen.

A welcome pack for your arrival includes tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and bread and cereal for breakfast. The studio apartment is self-catering: stroll down to the boulangerie in the morning for freshly-baked bread and croissants; fetch milk from the nearby farm after milking in the evenings; fill a "cubis" with wine from the organic vineyard; and shop in local markets for seasonal vegetables. For a break from cooking, Puivert village also offers a range of restaurants, bars and cafés around the lake in season, or Chalabre (10 minutes' drive or 20 minutes by bike) has bars and restaurants all year round.
