Situated in the centre of the historic village of Nanteuil-en-Vallée (Petite Cité de Caractère) in the Charente. Villa Taillefer is a generous private house with a walled garden bordering the 'Canal des Moines' and the river Argentor.The house has been styled by the owners and hosts Gareth and Lesley, using colour and design to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, with an eclectic nod to the past lives of the house while offering guests up to date comforts.
Guests have the choice of 3 individually styled en-suite bedrooms, the Victor Hugo suite having its own cosy salon.There are a variety of sitting areas in the garden to find a sunny or shady spot to read or just relax. Breakfast can be taken on the large terrace or in the dining room. Table d'hotes is available on Sunday evenings by prior arrangement. Two popular village restaurants are also a step away.
We have our own Cocker Spaniel Isla who is glad to welcome well behaved, cat friendly, canine visitors staying in the ground floor bedroom. Hosts are English and French speaking.
