Mr Wendling’s homestead is located in the middle of the Alsatian vineyard. This architect who is passionate by renovation and loves old stones has renovated this construction dating from the 16th century. This house, that’s also called “Cour de Truchsess” or “Cour de Bergheim”, has been so-designated owing to the two noble families that owned it over the centuries. The architecture of the house can be reached by passing through a wide bow gate and is emphasized by a turret of stairs dating from 1523. You will notice that the sundial bears the Latin inscription “Carpe Diem” that means “Seize the day”. Our quiet place offers the opportunity to discover this unique city. Come and discover Riquewihr during its magic hours such as in the sunup, under the autumnal fog and at nightfall under the Christmas’floodlight.
