Gite de la Loire à La Thiau, Briare

Description for B&B:

A modest distance to the south east of Orleans and to the north of Sancerre, at the eastern end of the Valley of the Kings, at only 150 km south of Paris (1 hour driving from Fontainebleau), on the banks of the river Loire between Gien (bone china factory) and Briare (canal bridge), 2 rooms, 2 suites and 2 gites await you. The separate guest house, nestled among secular trees, is surrounded by a pleasant park running down to the Loire. Built in the 18th century and entirely renovated in 2001, the wonderful old "Mansart" style manor house stands very close to our home. Independant car park and entrances allow you complete freedom. Our guests are always welcome to enjoy the 7 acres of park with secular trees and flowers, deckchairs, tables, outdoor games for children, tennis and table-tennis. The Loire river can be reached by a private path (300 metres), which is a good starting place for walks or bike-rides. Baby-sitting, bikes renting, animals welcome under restrictions. Non-smoking house.

Description for Gite

On the ground floor of a large house, typical of the Loire Valley, with a private entrance, this small appartment (40m2) for 2 persons maximum, with 3 windows opening to the east and south overlooking the park, is made up of :

. 1 bedroom : 1 double bed 140x190cm

. living-room with television. All furnished in Louis-Philippe antique. Another single bed 90x190cm for separate sleeping

. very small but private en-suite shower-room and toilets.

. kitchen corner (fridge, gas cooker, microvawes, dishes and ustensils)

Private garden with barbecue, table, chairs and deck-chairs.

Direct access to the Loire with a private lane.

Access to the fitness room (shared)
