Bed & Breakfast in an old servants' quartersIf you look for a personalized service, combined with good comfort in an extraordinary environment, you will be delighted by our offer. In the ancient washhouse of the château of Joreau, which is today exclusively reserved for our b&b guests you dispose, in addition to your spacious room (>25 m²), of a huge lounge with English, French and German library, a hall full of tourist information as well as a private entry and garden. Both guest rooms are under the high exposed roof beams, discreetly furnished with good antiques, with impeccable private shower rooms and loos.After a night of deep sleep in the middle of nature enjoy a good breakfast with homemade yams and other delicacies, served in the lounge with view over the park. In the afternoon, after a long day of visits, hiking or cycling take advantage of the relaxing environment of Joreau: take your time to read a book, to taste some fruits from the orchard or to have a nap in the hammock under an old tree.Later on you can either dine out in one of the delightful restaurants nearby or stay at Joreau. We propose a gourmet-plate with wine and coffee by prior arrangement or the use of our basic kitchen facility in the lounge."Cremant de Loire" - our ensuite (one double, one twin room) with private showerroom is the ideal place for a relaxed family holiday. "Saumur Champigny" offers on 26 m² enough space to feel at home . The comfortable beds with a size of 0,90 x 1,90 m can be either arranged as 1 king size bed or two singles. In either case you will spend relaxing and recovering nights. The tasteful decoration is completed by an antique wardrobe and two armchairs. Private bathroom with seperated toilette have been renovated at the beginning of this year.

Description for Gite

The Farm of Joreau offers over 72 m² modern comfort and cosy decoration combined with traditional architecture like touffe stone, slate, terra cotta tiles, old wood parquet and ceiling for 4-5 persons.The house has been completely renovated in Mai 2006. Besides a big south-terrace with garden furniture and barbecue you dispose of 800 m² private garden with view into the woods. Your kids can play in the sandbox and on the swing while you relax with a glass of wine.On the ground floor you enter the living room with its fire place. From here you continue to the dining room and the fully equipped kitchen. Under the roof you find 2 bedrooms (1 double 160*200 cm, 1 twin 80*200 cm) and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The beds will be prepared at your arrival. Baby cot and chair are available by prior arrangement. The firewood is free of charge.Gennes, a charming village, on the border of the Loire, is only 15 km (<10 miles) from Saumur and Doué-la-Fontaine and 30km (<20 miles) from Angers away. Shopping facilities are less than 1km (0.5 miles) from the gîte and open 7 days a week.Situated in the middle of the regional nature reserve "Loire-Anjou-Touraine", the house offers an ideal starting point for cultural, gastronomic and nature related expeditions for every age. Hikers and bikers will appreciate that the Domaine de Joreau is situated directly on the long distance path GR3 and the Loire Valley bike trail.
