Description for B&B:
La Petite Chesnée is located in Sacey, a small village of 500 inhabitants in the Manche Department (LowerNormandy), just a short distance from the Brittany border and only 15 minutes from the magical Mont St-Michel.A warm welcome awaits you in this traditional country house, which was built in 1833.
Whether its a family holiday or a romantic couples getaway, Carine and Daniel have 3 well equipped en-suite rooms, for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside surroundings.
The house benefits from a large private car park, quiet and spacious garden with extensive lawn. A comfortable living room with wood-burning fire are all part of this accommodation.
Let's not forget the breakfast with local produce!
We also rent bikes (adults) for your getaways on Normandy roads.
Children will enjoy our animals: we have goats and 3 poneys.
In addition to the Mont Saint Michel and its magnificent Abbey, we are ideally located for visits to the many attractions of Normandy and Brittany.
Granville, Fougères, Rennes, Dinan, Dinard, Dol de Bretagne, St Malo, Cancale (known for its succulent seafood restaurants) and the American cemetery of St James are all nearby.
A little further afield are the D-Day beaches and St Lô, Bayeux (and its famous tapestry) among other.
La Petite Chesnée is therefore ideal as a base if you plan to visit the area in detail, want to go on a longer journey or are just looking for a quiet place.
Our region offers you the choice between beautiful beaches, shady forests, tranquil rivers, medieval towns, castles, hiking trails, Bay crossings...
There really is, something for everyone!
Carine and Daniel will be only too pleased to give you advice about the local area and whats on.
Sports and activities:
Our region is excellent for hiking, cycling and horseback riding. Several golf courses welcome visitors.
Fishing, swimming, tennis, and bowling are also available activities. The more adventurous might try parachute jumping, , karting, sand yachting
PONTORSON has its own race tracks, and horse races are organized in summer.
Most of the towns and villages have various weekly markets. These include flea markets, antique markets, jumble sales and also some local celebrations and music festivals.
Children on holiday will enjoy the theme parks, zoos, aquariums and the Alligator Bay Reptilarium, as well as many picnic and games areas.
Children are also welcome in most restaurants in the area.
