The space
Paula and Mike look forward to welcoming you to this lovely old country house, which was built in 1750, just before the Revolution.

Quietly situated in rolling, wooded countryside, with magnificent views. The house was sold just once until the 20th Century, since when it's been our family home. The house is big, quiet and comfortable.

There are beautiful and slightly wild gardens with many specimen trees, and plenty of garaging and parking.

A generous continental breakfast is served in a heavily beamed salon, with french doors leading onto the gardens. A four course evening meal is available with prior notice.

Situated close to the Dordogne and Lot borders, thirty minutes from Brive la Gaillarde and an hour from Limoges. We are an easy to find 10 minutes from the A20 and A89 autoroutes, and as such we make a convenient stop for those heading further south, or a good base to explore the beautiful Correze, the Lot and the Dordogne.

Please note the house is not suitable for babies or young children.

Le Chateau has spacious accommodation, with four large bedrooms (two ensuite) with double beds. Extra beds are available for larger parties. Le Chateau is big, quiet and comfortable, with a cosy oak beamed living room with a large french style inglenook fireplace. The beautiful beamed kitchen is ideal for self catering, and fully equipped with range cooker and dishwasher, with a long dining table for entertaining, or simply enjoying those summer BBQ's.

The comfortable south wing has a cottage holiday feel, with beamed ceilings, wooden floors, and double french doors opening onto three acres of private gardens and grounds. Le Chateau is quietly situated in rolling, wooded countryside, with magnificent views of the Massif de Monadier mountains, which are clearly visible from the north side of the property.

Le Chateau in France is ideal for having your self catering holidays, and only a six hour drive directly south of Calais. Le Chateau is located only 30 minutes from the town of Brive la Gaillarde, known as the gateway to the South of France. Le Chateau makes a good base to explore the Correze, Lot and Dordogne, explore the many chateaux open to the public in the region with their beautiful gardens. There are superb lakes nearby, with sandy beaches for swimming, and fishing, canoeing, sailing and water skiing in the area.

There is plenty of parking space at Le Chateau, either on the circular driveway in front of Le Chateau, or garaging in the barn.
