Le Donjon is located in the Brenne Natural Park. This thinly populated area features a thousand and one small lakes where many birds brood. Even the shy purple heron has been spotted here. Walks and excursions are organised on a regular basis. You can also discover the area on horseback.Le Brenne is a perfect place for longs walks and cycling tours.
Ciron is the starting point for several walks. The Grand Randonnée also runs through the town.
The footpaths along the river Creuse are so peaceful that you will hardly encounter anyone there, except the occasional angler or canoe. Fishing and canoeing are just two of numerous activities the Creuse offers. Both Saint-Gaultier and Le Blanc have canoe rental services and thanks to the good quality of the water one can swim and fish in the river

Directions
Ciron is a village approximately 13 kilometres (8 miles) from both Le Blanc and Saint-Gaultier. Both towns have shops that cater for your everyday needs. Just 20 km (or 13 miles) away is Argenton sur Creuse, where the train service from Paris to Toulouse calls everyday. There is also a bus service from Argenton to Ciron, which runs about 7 times a day
