The property is situated minutes from Auvillar, a medieval bastide village with impressive views over the Garonne valley. It is listed as one of the prettiest villages in France (Un des plus beaux villages de France) with its unusual circular corn exchange and is an important stop on Le Chemin de Saint Jacques-de-Compostelle or Way of Saint James.

In its own little valley with beautiful views from every angle and sheltered from strong winds, the house and grounds are frequently surrounded by acres of sunflowers. It is approached along an impressive gravelled drive, which takes you through the extensive lawned gardens and orchard to the lovely 200 year old stone complex comprising of a large manor house with attached and detached stone outbuildings. The manicured grounds of over 5 acres surround the property and contain a private fishing lake, walled saltwater swimming pool, BBQ area and games room. All you need to enjoy your get away from it all holiday.

Originally a Pigeonnier or dovecote this lovely stone East/West facing building, is now a delightful self contained cottage with huge oak beamed and vaulted ceilings.
Enter via the large double doors into a spacious lounge and kitchen/diner with all the necessary equipment and appliances including:
Dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, 37" TV with Freesat, microwave, DVD Player, cooker, CD player, Hob and Wifi.
The two Super king/twin bedrooms are luxuriously dressed with beautiful furniture and sumptuous bedding to make your holiday relaxing and comfortable. Both bedrooms have large sofa/sofa beds and en suite bathrooms with windows overlooking the sunny front garden and orchard beyond.
The private terrace faces west, ideal for the evening sun and can be accessed via the kitchen or the path around the outside of the property.
We are able to easily split this gite in to a one bedroom property but out of high season only.
